Hey Friends!
Please allow me a quick moment to introduce myself. My name is Tiffany Gowler. I am a believer, wife, and homeschooling mama of 4 amazing kiddos.
I am also the cofounder and Creative Director at Gowler Homes [HERE] .
I am always down for a good old-fashioned lip sync battle and my guilty pleasure is savoring every last drop of my Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. I often embarrass my husband and children with my stellar dance moves and I love to sing to an 80’s ballad at the top of my lungs when I am alone in the car. I am lover of laughter and a documenter of life. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and relished every minute of my time spent as a public school teacher before having children of my own. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew that I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom.
Motherhood is truly my passion.
After years of struggling with miscarriage and infertility, I became pregnant and in 2007, we welcomed our oldest daughter, Braelyn Grace into the world. Less than two years later, our son, Ryan Wilson came, 3 weeks early, weighing almost 8 lbs. My body was getting used to the whole “being pregnant” thing and, less than two years later, our third child, Brooklyn Rose, was born. I had three babies in three years…motherhood was insanity and I loved every minute of the controlled chaos! 2012 was a difficult year and I endured two more miscarriages but, the Lord is so gracious and in 2013, we welcomed our last child, Adelyn Love.
In 2016, my husband and I started Gowler Homes, a boutique custom home building company, renovation contractor, and professional design firm. I primarily work from home but I savor the days that I go into our design studio to meet with the rest of our talented team.
Intentionally creating spaces in which families can thrive is a blessing.
Speaking of designing homes, Matt and I have moved into a new house every 18 months-2 years since getting married in 2002…I joke that I am a professional packer at this point in life! In 2018, we decided it was time for our family to establish roots. I ached for a sense of permanency. I longed for a place where our kids could run wild and we could experience nature up close and personal. I wanted to live where we could feel a sense of freedom from the hustle and bustle of life.
In 2019, our dream came true and we finished designing and building our dream farmhouse on a historic 40-acre ranch in Colorado. This is unchartered territory for Matt and I, considering we were both raised in suburbia. But, we are learning to grow our own garden, raise our own food, and cultivate a beautiful life for our family.
It is important to note that I do not claim that we are creating a “Pinterest Perfect” life for our family.
We are not affectless robots living in a fantasy world. Rather, we are imperfect humans living in a flawed world. We fully experience both triumphs and failures, ups and downs, victory and defeat.
But, my friends, it is through these undoctored moments that an authentically beautiful life is created.
Which brings me to this blog. This little slice of the internet is where I hope to bring laughter, truth, and inspiration. If there is one thing I can promise, it is that I will always be raw and authentic with you. No charades here. When things don’t go according to what my A-type personality prefers, I will share it. When something goes according to plan, I will also share that! My hearts desire is to inspire others to cultivate a beautiful life of their own while embracing life’s imperfections.
So, what are you waiting for?!? Let’s cultivate a beautiful life!
