There is nothing more timeless and classic than white. But did you know that there are literally hundreds of shades of white?!? This can make the “what color should I paint my house” decision feel extremely overwhelming.
As a designer, I have incorporated many variations of white paint in different projects and I have methodically narrowed them down into my four tried-and -true Benjamin Moore favorites: Chantilly Lace, Simply White, Decorators White, and White Dove.
But even between those four, there are two that I consider my “go-to” whites…you really can’t go wrong with either of them!
My two ALL TIME FAVORITE WHITES are….drumroll please….Chantilly Lace and White Dove! I have used each of these colors in countless projects, on both the interior and exterior of homes, and they have never failed me!
Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore
Chantilly Lace is a pure, crisp, stunning white. It is best used in homes with a modern twist or for projects in which you want absolutely zero undertones. I am a huge fan of this timeless color. This is what we have on both the interior and exterior of our personal home. It is our entire exterior color (main body and trim) and then inside it is the color of our trim and ceilings. Because it is the purest of all whites, it will not pick up any strange hues…it is amazing!
White Dove by Benjamin Moore
White dove is rich, creamy, beautiful white. Suitable for any style of home and is what I would consider a “no-fail” white. It is the perfect blend of warmth and coolness, which is difficult to achieve with any other white color I have tried. We have used it in many of our Gowler Homes projects on both the exterior body as well as interior trim. You will love it as much as I do!
